Since completing my IT and Modern Computing BTEC Advanced Extended Diploma at City College Brighton and Hove in 2009 in which I received a Triple Distinction, I have dedicated myself to creating beautiful, clean, professional websites using best practice accessibility and the latest W3C web standards guidelines, resulting in semantic and SEO friendly XHTML and CSS created websites.
I mainly provide work in the following areas:
- Website design: Full web design and development of static or Content-managed standards-compliant websites.
- HTML conversions/solutions: Create or develop for print/graphic designers who's clients are requiring a web presence in relation to their new print catalogue or branding.
- Existing website maintenance: Updating content and/or design of existing websites.
- Open source CMS development and customisation: Creating websites using open source Content management systems such as Wordpress. Creating custom themes for existing CMS driven websites
To the right is a chart breaking down the different areas of programming and design that I work with and the level I specialise with them in relation to each other.
For building websites I work with a mix of Photoshop and Illustrator for creating layouts, have access to Shuttertstock.com which is one of the largest providers of content resources with over 19 million stock photos, illustrations, vectors, and videos. I then hand Code in Dreamweaver to produce clean semantic XHTML and CSS while always keeping SEO in mind to help your website along with search engines.
Although I generally hand code my websites I am also experienced creating, editing and custom theming large CMS, forum and shopping systems such as Wordpress, PHPBB3 forums and Zen Cart.
I am always looking for new and exciting projects and challenges so if you are interested please contact me using the details provided on my 'Contact Page'
